I have a random COCO AU where Miguel really is Ernesto's Great Great Grand-Son who lives on the streets (Because reasons) and instead of stealing the guitar because he's upset about his family he just does it because he's curious and interested (The streets thing also explains how he was able to sneak in sense he was used to stealing stuff Aladdin style anyway, I would have liked more explanation as to why he was such a Houdini in the movie, I suppose that it could be said that because he was used to hiding his music from his family he managed breaking into what seemed like a high security place, but that was some next level, Sneak 100 shit that he was doing throughout a lot of the movie, not just in that one scene!) X'D
The story would be VERY different with that AU (And yeah I am aware of the fact that Ernesto's family if he had one would probably be living fairly decent lives because of all the money he made, but Ernesto is such a jerk I wouldn't put it at all past him to just have sex with a random girl, in this case Miguel's Great, Great, Grand-Mother, and then just never see her again, hence why his bloodline would be spread in a poor district with bad economy and why the potential for Miguel's situation in the AU would be there).
It's just a weird idea that I had (My AUs are usually out of control, LMAO!) X'D
I adore the dynamic that these two have with Miguel in the movie and this art is beautiful, My brain just decided that this had to be a found family story with a peppering of angst because of course it did! X'D

Yeah. Finally got around to watch this movie.
I friggin loved it. So damn gorgeous at all times, a really amazing story and hoo boy. The end certainly made a good handful of tears run down my face from a mix of joy and a bit of sadness.
Definitely a great message that the movie has. Always remember your loved ones. That way, they will never truly be gone.
