Iceriver grew up in a rogue group of cats. His mother was clanborn, but when his father decieved her into betraying her clan and becoming his mate (even though she was a medicine cat—their clan was starving and dying an he promised her that he would help) she became pregnant with Iceriver. He grew up not being able to escape, and watching his mother die. When he was about an apprentice's age, his mother died because Frost (his father) killed her for "being the weakest of the group", so Iceriver tried to fight him. He got a few scars from that. And he ran away with the future healer of that group, named Faith, and she taught him about herbs and such (why he's a medicine cat—his mother and Faith teaching him) and he got the rest of his scars from defending her when she was sick and dying. This was all before he met his clan!

Gaahhh sorry for rambling on, but none of it would have made sense if I didn't!
