Description not fully complete. I didn't map a reflection of the boat in the background sphere - maybe I'll do for a print version.

Thanks a lot! It's just a little bit of "know how" (see my reply batjorge ). There are still some mistakes in there. I didn't watch the focal lenth of the camera for example, which leads the shadow in the wrong direction.

I'm just confused how you got those fantastic shapes!

Oh, it's just a quite simple 3d-fractal, an AmazingBox for those who care.

"quite simple" and "3d" never go in the same sentence for me!

Ok, I think you're right. "quite simple" in this case means, that it is a single formula, not a complicated hybrid. Finding the sweet spots and putting them in a coherent context is something completely different and the artistic achievement in images like that. From this point of view I have to thank you again. I take it as a compliment. Btw I really appreciate those little discussions!

I have to say, this piece is one of the more impressive independent works I've seen. It's complicated, yet stems from such a simple idea. it works so well! Keep up the fantastic work!

Thanks a lot - the boat is a license-free one from the net (Almejera). The rest is my work.

Thanks Jorge. It is less work than it looks like. C4d renders everything to individual Layers and with a masking channel if you want to. The rest is easy.
