This man is having a break, and while he is enjoying his cigar he looks to the little kids who speak another language besides the thai, football!They play with the 'big' boys from our group from Holland, because they are very tall compared to the thai people. They frequently ask 'wat do you eat?', because they want to be tall too.
I've made this photo in Thailand. I took it in a litte village without influence from outside, because usually there are no tourists, I like that
Pure culture and traditional things, without a shame for the west-culture, that's one reason why I like this picture. The other reason is that it's spontaneous

great shot, sounds like you had a wonderful time in thailand, experiences like that with the real locals are so much better than hiding away in touristy districts! and you get photos like this which is a double bonus!

haha you're right, it was a wonderfull time, and also we're tourists, but I 'don't like that highlightattittude of the locals, sometimes they see you as moneybag, and they didn't

Portraits are my biggest love,especially the spontaneous ones.And here.....it's like I can feel everything that this man felt at the moment of having his break.Beautiful photo.
