I first thought of "Doctor Who", but then I listened to some stuff involving Neil deGrasse Tyson, so I can imagine this being used for a good science show intro (hopefully also including the "Doctor Who" theme).

well, you can take your apo parameters, paste them into chaotica and animate it in chaotica ^^
so pretty much the animation process is done in chaotica (which is handy as the apo animation scripts are just terrible and i never managed to make them work properly, and chaotica's interface, while raw, is way more intuitive).
And no, i used no scrips, i don´t think they work in 15C.

So you can Animate in Chaotica? I've never had a chance to before so I'm not sure what Chaotica is good for or used for. I've been curious as to why people use it when you can render on Apophysis to begin with.
And you're right--they don't work in 15C or 15D. Now I have more of a reason to Animate with Chaotica. Are there any tutorials on how to use it?

Chaotica Editor Basics - UpdatedAn illustrated explanation of Chaotica`s World Editor.
It also features the Apophysis equivalents (when those exist). The left column corresponds to Chaotica, while the right column is Apo.
This is how the Chaotica Editor looks like:
The World Editor has the following elements:
toolbar ("New Iterator" and "New Transform" buttons)world nodes (the tree view of the iterators)node editor (details of each node)
If you cannot see one of those, right click one of the visible widgets and click the corresponding option to make it visible again:
To zoom in and out the affine editor, use Alt + right mouse button.
To move, around, Ctrl + right mouse button.

To open the animation editor, go to the Window menu and select the Animation editor option. The editor looks like this:
Animation Settings
Lets take a look at the animation settings first.
Total length is the length of your animation in seconds. On the picture above, it is 0, indicating the parameters are not animated.
FPS are frames per second. 30 FPS means that there will be 30 frames for every second of your animation. So, for example, a 3 minutes (180 seconds) animation at 30 fps will have 180*30=5400 frames that you will need to render later on.
Preview FPS is the number of frames rendered per second when displaying a real time preview of your

Creating a simple animation
As an example, i will create a small animated gif.
We start setting FPS and animation time. Since we are making a gif, we will pick some low FPS value and short animation time (else it will be very huge and take time to load). Here, i used 10 FPS and 30 seconds, which means 300 frames overall.
Now move a bit along the timeline.
Switch to the World Editor and just move/skew/rotate/scale your affines, change the transform variables, edit weights and shaders.

Render settings - Resolution
For animated gifs, try to keep the resolution low. High resolution gifs are not very user friendly, and may take a long time to load for most users.
Here are some standard resolutions for video/animations:
Full HD or 1080p: 1920 x 1080HD or 720p: 1280 x 720Lower res for eg YouTube: 960 x 540, 640 x 360
Render settings - Other settings
For both gifs and animations, the optimal settings are AA level 2 and Anti-aising mode Smooth. Those settings produce pretty nice results and are also efficient for batch rendering, with high speed and low amount of noise.
Do not use Ultra quality for gifs and animations.
