Description After watching "A Movie Life" (dir Selton Melo, Brazil, 2017), I had to model the great Rolando Boldrin as Giuseppe, the train conductor.

Software used: PureRef, ZBrush, Substance Painter, UVLayout, 3dsMax, Photoshop, Ornatrix and VRay.

Thank you so much! I've been tempted to redo his skin texture and color in the way I did with the Kayapo, but well... we have only so much time, right?

It must be super hard to do such skin.. Does it look so natural because of textures or 3d shape?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

tatagiba In reply to BeeTatyana [2018-01-26 15:55:08 +0000 UTC]

It's a mix. But at the end, I realized I should have gone a bit further on the texture, and put way more color variation.

But I'm doing these characters in a skill ladder. I try to improve something of the next from the previous models. The "King" (from One Punch Man anime) had a better custom skin shader (the way 3d software handle surfaces). The next will have better eyes and skin. Deliberate practice.

And thank you for your time commenting this work! It's a great honor!

You're always welcome! I would gladly follow your progress, since I don;t understand much in 3d modeling, I'll be awesome if I can learn from you at least some theory things just to know how it works.

It's very brave of you to start on such complicated theme! Keep going!

Thank you! And you might enjoy some Mudbox if you want to try some 3d sculpting. Very easy at first! It can become harder if you aim to finish your pieces, but it's a fine start!

Thank you so much, Khafre! But this software is not really a lot, once it's on your workflow! Starting from a simple project, you can build up easily! (if patiently )

I tried to learn 3D once but the texturing... unwrapping UVs... never got the hang of it

Indeed; 3D requires a lot of patience!

Take a look at UVLayout! It's a very simple UV software that can make your 3d efforts easier! Don't give up!

Looks really, really nice, but if I had just a little thing to comment on, it would be that the hat positioning looks a bit weird.

Great job!

Thank you so much for your comment, Beowulf! Regarding this hat, I really feel I could have had way more fun with different lights! At the time, I was a bit anxious, and ended up learning a LOT from this!

TanukiTagawa In reply to tatagiba [2018-01-16 00:19:17 +0000 UTC]

Descobertas,Confrontos e Mudanças,um crossover Gravity Falls/Call of Cthulhu.

Ahh! Você escreve essas histórias?! Rapaz, escreve até em inglês! Parabéns! Quais os nomes da suas histórias? Essa do Scooby Doo, por exemplo?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

TanukiTagawa In reply to tatagiba [2018-01-17 00:43:12 +0000 UTC]

Vamos as demais.
 Mona a Vampiro:Mona a Transformação.Sem Lar.Ameaça Subterrânea.
Kim Possible:Apelo de Um Era Distante.Bonnie Rottweiller.Nada Mais Importa.
My Little Pony:Você Continua Bonita.Twilight-Comatose Luta Pela Vida.Atos e Omissões.Aventuras!Em Uma Terra Estranha(crossover com Gravity Falls)
Gravity Falls: As Garotas-Monstro.Um Romance Épico de Verão.
Scooby Doo:Samhein.

TanukiTagawa In reply to tatagiba [2018-01-18 00:04:06 +0000 UTC]

tatagiba In reply to TanukiTagawa [2018-01-18 01:46:10 +0000 UTC]

Meia-idade? 45-55? Fala do nisso, conhece o Wattpad?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

TanukiTagawa In reply to tatagiba [2018-01-18 02:20:59 +0000 UTC]
