I'm trying to keep the white background consistent between these guys, but his tail would show up so much better with pretty much any other background one could imagine...Sabre toothed tiger. Thundercats, ho.

Forgive me; I'm much sillier now that it's later and that I'm back over here on dA, rather than Gaia.
Thundercat could almost be the literal translation of Raikou, if one separates the words that could have been mushed into that name.
"rai"+"neko"+"u"-"ne-" = Raikou.
