I WANT THIS BOW I WANT THIS BOW I WANT THIS BOW
Unfortunately.. I can't have it... But I did get to play with it on Thursday. Rob was teaching me how to use it and i got to shoot it, and I was so proud of myself, I hit the target, twice!! I also hit the shed a couple of times but enough about that..
I borrowed the bow for a different shoot, but I don't know whether or not I'll definately have it when that one comes around, so to make up for it, I cobbled this costume together. my self timer remote and the spare battery conspired against me though, one by breaking the other by hiding itself, so i didn't get as many pictures with the different weapons. I got the bow and a couple of sword ones. and then the trap was sprung.
Also. Those shoes yes, they are attached to my feet via string. I am in the process of making them for the elf shoot. I just havent attached them to the base (which are a pair of knackered old work shoes.

my friend Rob, aka ~Blakava-stock does re-enactment. so i go and raid his armoury from time to time
the bow in the Robina and Elf Ranger sets isnt his bow though, because he's a tall bastard, his longbow is like.. 6ft, and its really heavy, so i cant draw it fully..
this bow is his friends, who doesnt know that Rob lent it to lend it to me..

i was gonna do this shoot with all the weapons i borrowed, but self timer remote broke and my battery ran out. so it was all conspiring against me.
but i've borrowed this bow (im not really meant to have it. it's Dan's bow, Rob borrowed it from him saying he was teaching his brother Ben to do archery, so, not me borrowing it.. which is why there might not be this bow next friday, if Dan asks for it back you see.) the quiver is Dan's aswell, he also lent Rob his arrows, but I have Rob's arrows instead... Dan's arrows were made for him by his fiance, so.. if anything happened to those Rob would get flayed alive by Laura.
But. I have Rob's smexy new sword (which i got a couple of pictures of before everything died.) a long knife. two twin blades with antler-horn handles for you. And and axe and a spear. Just, borrowed several things so we'd have some choice n stuff.
but that bow is lovely. I was shooting it on thursday. its so FUN

Ahhhh Im so excited
I dunno if Im gonna be able to get myself any elf ears by friday. Which is a pain. But ive gone over my self imposed limit on my card so cant buy anything else online for a bit. Unless you could order them and I could give you the cash. Because i have the actual cash and such. BAH!
Also, if it rains now on friday I will be extremely pissed off >:
Although it works out it was a good idea not doing the shoot last week, I was REALLY unwell and grumpy on friday. Spent all of it in my dressing gown on the sofa lol.
Oh, and if there is anything else you would like me to bring then just tell me ^_^

i went for the Vulcan ones, so, i dunno if you'd want the same or different?
you will have to get here early though, especially if i'm fitting the ears for the first time for you. it involves afew layers of latex and you need to let each layer dry.
haha, well it didnt rain that much this friday. it rained for like, a minute at about 10 o clock.
well. are you wearing that dress that i lent you? or something else?
we might aswell use my camera since, it's here. i have all the weapons. i'll order your ears as soon as you tell me which ones to order.. uuh.. is your costume completely sorted? when i found out on thursday night we werent doing the shoot i played on the wii instead of finishing mine. so i need to hem my tunic, finish the vambraces, and sew the bottom of the boots i made.
i was going to clean my car yesterday, but since we're going to the dunes to do some pratting about i figured theres no point, i'll just get it all sandy inside. you will notice that the evil road with the POTHOLES!!! >.< uh. yes.
thats much more tolerable in Γowyn than it was in little Dotty.
apart from the ears.. do you need any other make up doing?

I'd say either the half elf ones or the vulcan ones like you have. Either look quite good.
Im going to be wearing that dress yes. And my hair is all freshly dyed now
The only issue I have is shoes.... I dont know what to wear on my feet 
Also, do you have any spare black material lying around that we could cut up? Or any more of that faux leather type stuff? Was gonna use it to make fingerless glove type jobbies. Otherwise, if you still have the one that I used in the tribal shoot? Or ive got some with metal attached to them that i'll bring.
As for make up... I have an idea for some face makeup - probably like some tribal swirly stuff down the side of my face? But it shouldnt take too long. It'll be easier to explain in person than online -.- lol
Ah yes, I remember the potholes. Yet more fun.
I will set out as early as possible, and get back to you soon about a more accurate time of arrival lol

i was uh.. kinda hoping you would get back to me yesterday. did my text not get through? i'll order them right away.. but. if the order gets processed tomorrow, they might arrive early on friday or they wont.. if they dont arrive in time then i'll just use them if you don't want them for another shoot.
you want leather fingerless gloves? they'd be brown though, cause the fake leather stuff i have is brown.. i can see what i can do.. but i still have the suede arm things from the Attuann shoot aswell.
and uh. barefoot, not a great idea. marram grass, pointy spikey. bad. gladiator type sandals?? im trying to think what i have. i do have sandals that you can wear, so long as i hide them on thursday so my mum doesnt nick them as she's been doing lately.

But if you can throw something together that's better then that'd be great, but dont worry too much about it. Part of it is mainly so I dont have to cut off my download band just yet -.-
We just have to have fingers crossed that the ears arrive, although its not the end of the world if they dont.

If I every do a castle tour of the UK and this bow or a similar one is available I'll buy it for you. This is conditional on you telling me the tourist traps to avoid. I have not been in England in 15 years so I can't remember what area to stay away from.

hopefully though, Rob will be making me a bow. as he was shwoing me how to use this one, he showed me the length of wood he says he's gonna try and turn into a bow for me. if it works, then its mine.

Other than a place to start from I don't think I would spend much time in London. Big city hotels cost too much.
I think we would get some travel maps and find out possible locations to photograph old castles and various structures that could work as background pictures in short stories. I have a book and pictures from Kidwelly Castle in Wales but their pre-digital camera age so I canβt use them.
Good to here you maybe getting a bow shortly.

yeah i was so stoked to find accomodation for 2 nights in the center of london for Β£78 total. that'll be split between two of us. and thats in august.
sometimes the best castles to go and photograph are the lesser known ones..
