I'll do this quickly 'cuase I gotta go to sleep!1) I had no refs for Inupapa so anything off model ain't my fault.
2) Since we never seen Sessh's mom, I kinda threw somethin' together for her. I figured that she should have those bangs like Sessh, but the "sideburns" should look similar to Inu's mother (perhaps a "prefrence in taste" thing that Inupapa had. That, and I LOVE those! I wish *I* had them!!!)
3) This image was influence by a discussion with . We were tlaking about housebreaking Sessh (and how he couldn't get a handel on it).
Afterwards, I had brought the subject up with a friend, and we got to talking about how some parents FREAK over potty trainning their kid. I understand that diaper-changing isn't the most pleasant thing to do in the world, but stressin' your little precious pup like a mad man about it will NOT get you out of it sooner. In fact, it's scares the hell out of the little jem! Back off!
So I figured, while I have no personal opinion about Inupapa yet (I reserve judgement 'til I know the WHOLE story about him... and please don't tell me, I'll find that out by watchin' the show), I get the feelin' that he wasn't one of those toilet-train-your-kid-at-gun-point fathers, but a softer fellow who really cared for his kids (again, just a feeling, I don't know, I'm reserving judgement). So, Here's that crucial moment in histroy, where Inupapa, Momy-Sessh, and puppy Sessh are metting the "wee tree" for the first time. Inupapa doing the honors of officially introducing the two sides.
I gotta go to sleep. I'll be SO tired tomorrow!

There are way too many funny Inuyasha jokes you can come up with; the subject is chock-full of parody, especially the whole human-dog thing. I've only watched some of the series and I've yet to see any actual cross-over between demon/human (whichever) and canine behavior (besides that "sit" thing). Why don't they explore this?! It's freakin' hilarious!!

I agree. THing is the series is more drama than comedy.. but there are moments qwhen Inu drops to all 4 and sniffs around, and the 2nd movie has him shaking himself dry like a dog! XD

On the subject, I think the similar jokes could apply to anthropomorphic animals. There's tons of anthro animals on DA, but I see them doing mostly human stuff (in dramatic stories or no) when their animalistic natures would be just as interesting and, in my opinion, far more amusing. People have been done to death *laughing at her own species*
For that matter, it would be funny to see Tarkheki (I'm not sure if that's what your wolverine's name is or not) tearing a small bunny to shreds like his wild brethren would. Or beating wolves over the head to get to a frozen deer carcass. Out of character stuff like that makes me giggle, just like your comics have.

I can imagine those two sitting on the couch watching a National Geographic special on wolverines and Kaywa and Gulo are all like "what the @#$%?! Are we supposed to be like that?" as they watch a wolverine on TV attempt to tear off a wolf's face.

Sessh's mom turned out great, and I think that Inu-papa looks exactly like he does in the series. (he only appears in the 3rd movie, and then we never get to see his whole face unobstructed at any time in the movie, which is a pity since he's such a great char!)
Hmmmm, I wonder if that's how youkai make barriers around them and their territory--Wee Trees. I'm thinking that Naraku has some serious incontinence issues.....
