Great picture - really striking. The background color tones are beautidul - are they what you started with or did you have to play around with the levels to get them where you wanted them?

I like this- it's kind of an organic form, but it's clearly mechanized. Man, I wanna draw something like that eventually. Maybe like, a Strogg octopus or something.
