~symbolism : death.

For me, it represents the death of a cherished relationship and the promise of a future together. The flower represents the beauty of hope, happiness and potential promises that had withered away and is now on its death bed. A funeral of feelings and thus the decay and death of unfulfilled promises and love. The dark ribbon represents both the grimness of death, loss and ~ a void from which there is no return, only the inevitability of pain.

The white cloth below represents the canvas of life and the contrast of a loss to the unstained innocence of the fabric of one's heart/psyche.

Its a nostalgic piece for me. probably the reason, why I had still preserved it.

Its nothing very stunning, but nevertheless, something that expressed my feelings and emotions very clearly at that point of time. I still cherish this~it was a product of a long, drawn out suffering finally coming to an end in a catharsis of sorts.~for me perhaps this piece was a closure that i gave myself and released the feelings that was eating me up from the inside...
