Description One of the seven wonders of the world, the Taj Mahal is a pretty spectacular site which really needs to be seen in reality to truly understand its magnificence.

There are so many postcard-style pictures of it that they almost start to look boring, at least to me. I don't think this shot is any more original than those usual ones, after all, all I've done is taken it at an angle. Still, there's something about it I like (probably the angle actually since I'm a big fan of angles!). I have a whole bunch of pictures of the Taj which I need to go through, so maybe I'll submit more in the future...

awesome picture..Taj Mahal is def one of the best places to see...i went a couple years ago ..wouldnt mind seeing it again

Yeah it is a great place - although I was left a little disappointed by its interior! I wouldn't mind seeing it again though - didn't get to spent much time there The architecture in Agra is just beautiful. Thanks for your comment.

no probs..uve inspired me 2 put up some pics from the taj..now i jus gotta find them! i wonder if u took any pics wher they stand u at a certian spot so it looks like ur holdin the taj..

Haha, no I didn't for the Taj, but I did at another place in Agra. I got the whole touristy pic-thing done, but those won't be submitted to dA

Haha well actually I did the usual shots of it that *everyone* takes - and of course touristy ones of me posing like a mongoose in front of it - what can I say, it's gotta be done!

Haha thank you for the comment Yeah, extremely busy, which is why I think I took this shot at an angle in the first place - so that all the annoying people near the front of the shot would get cut out If only we could make people disappear for just a second.. >_<

I like it hon - as you say its different to the normal "postcard" photos it also hides the crowds closest to the camera... the ones you can see are moving toward the middle distance

You're right: the angle is really cool. Looks incredibly busy though, which makes a good shot all the more admirable.

Thanks, and yeah it was really busy there that day which made taking a good picture pretty hard without having someone's head in the way. I had to ask someone to move at one point - he was standing in one place and knew I was trying to take a picture because he was looking right at me! Grr..
