Quite a fun little project here. This is the player-controlled Tank/Helicopter/Digging Machine for the XGenStudios game Motherload (for which I am doing 100% of the graphics).

I was experimenting with some techniques of half cel-shading things, to make them look cartoonish and at the same time still shaded in nice 3D. The treads are all motion controlled, so I can animate the pod driving and the treads will rotate realistically. You can't tell from the still image but the pod is designed to very quickly fold up and insert the drill, then pop a set of helicopter blades out the top for quick and easy maneuverability.
