WHY YES I DO FUCKING HATE COLORING WATER.
After messing around with the damn smudge tool for countless hours (because it always lags my Photoshop and sometimes even crashes it like MAD), I decided, "Oh fuck it," and I just scribbled like an idiot.
NOW IT'S AWESOME CUZ IT LOOKS LIKE IT WAS DRAWN BY A THREE-YEAR-OLD.
Hurr durr.
Anyway, I love Lesk, and I hadn't posted a real picture of him yet, and I thought of this. So yeah. I hope it doesn't look as horrible as I think it does.

I think your sky and water should be closer in color for a more believable effect. Then you can do 4 solid stripes of color in a gradient and after add some waves to blend them together. The fact that you have one solid color behind all the water kinda messes with the perspective I think you were going for. Pressure sensitivity could probably help you for the waves too; I think you have a tablet?

Hnnggg, well, there was an effect with the water I was going for, but it involved the smudge tool, and it HATES ME SO HARDCORE. After messing around with it forever, I just gave up. There's so much in Photoshop that I still don't know.
And, yaayyy, I like his color scheme too.

Smudge tool makes everything lag on big surfaces. I don't really use it either D:
But cel shaded water can be pretty too! Doesn't it fit better with the style of the rest of the picture anyway?
