At first I just thought he was a jerk but then I came to relize that he was actually really caring about katniss and peeta...and he's actually my first favorite hunger games character now my second is rue and I'd say my third favorite character is Effie trinket^^
i like katniss as well because she's a good role model and a good hunter :3

That's very true! In the beginning I was all like "gross..." but later I really came to respect the man.
Without him, Katniss and Peeta wouldn't have lived

Same! At first I was like "eww, he IS NOTHING LIKE HAYMITCH IN THE BOOK!" But then I started to see the real Haymitch <3 But they can never portray him as well in the movie like the AMAZING Haymitch from the book.

true, always the same horribleness when you see a movie based off a book.
Then you're 99/100 times like "THAT's NOT INSERTNAMEOFAWESOMCHARACTERHERE!!!"
But I liked him here as well. But indeed, movies can never match the books they're based on. Sad story :C
