Description I don't have much to say about this except it's my first attempt at drawing an African-American woman. She's quite lovely, but I don't know if I did her justice.

I saw her performance on the Today show on Monday and went hunting for pictures from that show right away, and here it is.

Squeezed this out in 2 days

Rihanna is without a doubt a beautiful woman. Though this image seems simple in creation, the likeness is greatly captured and you have managed to maintian her beauty. The purple highlights work very well. Great work indeed.

No probs, also, her name is Rihanna, you mixed the 'I' and 'H' up. I also think shes Caribbean, not sure

Awww dang it! I mucked it up didn't I I searched on Google for a long time and each version came up with her picture, so I just went with the one that made more sense to me. My apologies but thank you for the heads up. I'll have to fix that

Yes, I think I read somewhere that she's from Barbados? She looks like she also has a bit of Asian influence in her too. The eyes sort of convey that.

no probs. I dont have an extensive knowledge when it comes to Ethnic origins, tend to get a little confused from time to time.

Just beautiful! I totally agree with everyone--she's gorgeous, and no need to wonder if you did the lady "justice:" I know she'd hang this on her wall at home if you gave it to her! Those touches of color really do add a wonderful accent--very pretty--and the skintones and hair are fabulous! Awesome job!

I'm glad you like it It's always a toss up for me when I decide to put the color pencil to the paper. I'm never sure if I'm going to be able to make it work, but so far everyone else also seems to love a splash of color in my drawings.

I'm not sure if I know her, but anyways the shading is great as always. I love how you've handled the light in the earring and I love the hair with the purple strikes... and the lips! Gorgeous work!
