So I wanted to practice more with my idea. Which is to sketch traditionally, ink that, then color it digitally. I kind of like this method more
. I just need to figure out how to shade in there; I mean that in the sense that I tried using alphas at first, but the brush starting acting mega-derp and making things SUPER DARK, so I think what I'll have to do is make a darker shade manually. Also, no, I still don't have a tablet; this is all mouse-work here. Oh, and those paws <3.Cecil (c) Me.

Do you use SAI? There's an amazing tutorial I've been using that'll help you out with shading.

I can help you with shading, but first, I would need to know what paint software you use. (paint.net, photoshop, paint tool sai, etc.)

I use the same software, I found an easy way to shade, explaining it would be long, If you want, watch these video's : [link] (this is line art) ; [link] (hair detail) ; and [link] (shading) the shading video maybe hard if you don't watch the lineart video, and the hair detail is only important if you want to let it show strands of hair. the first and third video might be most important. I hope you don't feel as if I am annoying you, just a way i can show you an easier way of shading. (unless this is the way you do it.)

I looks nice, all colored professionally like that, although the lines are still a bit shakey, but nothing too noticeable anyway, also the bg should be a diff color, it tends to blend in with the character and he doesn't pop out as well, but maybe it's just me, at least the white and blue is a nice contrast to it, but i say make the bg colors not as vibrant, but very nice. In this way, the pads on him are definitely more noticeable <3

Thanks. I kinda derped that BG LOL. Just wanted something there, since it can be taken care of in a single click, as opposed to 3 hours of pencil coloring.

Haha well yes, the more color the better, though you just have to be careful on the bg to make sure it doesn't overpower the epic pawdom we see here. <3
