Something I've been working on and off for a month or so. Still very much a WIP but I doubt I'll finish this before 2014 rolls over.At first glance this may seem like another ‘Knights vs Dragons’ piece- and hey, they’re pretty damn cool. But what if there was more to the story than that? What if the dragon, erupting from the molten core of the earth, was born prematurely, causing its body to not be formed properly and in constant agony? The knight, who usually respects and befriends the beasts, knows that in its confusion and pain it may destroy everything around it. And has to come to a tough decision…

First off, the OUTLINING with the colour accents is just. Yes. So effective. The nostrils and fins around the eyes are WONDERFULLY detailed. The wing joint to the body looks a little too muscular for proportions, and the leg near it looks a little off, but overall, great posturing to create menace and and that FACE. So much expression.

This is really stunning, wowie ;o; That dragon is super gorgeous. I adore dragons, and gosh, this one looks so amazing. You perfectly pulled of the strong-but-elegant appearance of a dragon. I can tell you must be putting tons of work into this.
