Sooo, I did a version of my alien Shklance offsprings for The Lion's Pride and considering that, in this story, Lance is a shapeshifting alien , the kids aren't always cute little balls of fluff, I decided to also draw them as human. Not to mention; this story and its specific alien-elements for Lance definitely won't be my only time writing the Voltron next gen, so I figured I'd also draw a human version of the whole team!
[Obviously, all next gen universe are going to include ABO, because otherwise Shklance would have kind of a hard time conceiving kids ]

Now, the lineup, left to right:

Samuel 'Sammy' Holt, the Green Paladin

Sammy is the son of Matt Holt and [unnamed mother]. I don't know, maybe in later seasons someone will appear that I ship Matt with, or not and it stays an unnamed OFC who just leaves the baby at Matt's doorsteps after its born. Either way, I do not see Pidge as a sexual creature so I just couldn't have her directly be the parent of the new Green Paladin.
Sammy is named after his own grandfather, because I am 75% sure that Samuel Holt is dead and they'll only manage to save Matt Holt in the show.
He's as much a tech nerd as auntie Pidge, but he is not the least bit mouthy and confident like his aunt. He's a very shy, quiet nerd who prefers to just stick to his machines and away from humans. Though unlike Pidge, he's also very fond of plants and his element.
Despite how different him and the new Red Paladin are in character, they're best friends who know they can relay on each other. His other best friend is Charlie McClain, who is far more quiet and more Sammy's kind of people.
And Sammy has the hugest, most gigantic and obvious crush on Malie Garrett and literally everyone makes fun of him for it. Malie just thinks he's sweet and doesn't notice that he basically worships the ground she's walking on.

Malie Garrett, the Yellow Paladin

Malie is the daughter of Hunk and Shay. In a human AU, I headcanon Shay to be a gorgeous Creole lady from New Orleans. Don't ask me why, but it's just what I see when I see Shay.
So, Malie is fluent in French and tends to cuss in French due to that background. She's easily irritable when machines don't work the way she wants them to; she's the mechanic of the team. Otherwise, if machines are not trying to actively drive her insane, she's a very gentle and loving person, who has an open ear for all members of her team.
Her hair has red highlights that she got to boost her brother some, since she was the one inheriting the Yellow Lion from their father.
Unlike her father, she is a terrible cook who would rather burn the entire castle down than manage an edible meal. Sammy would still eat it though and smile at her with a dopey grin.
Malie's best friends are the McClain siblings. She likes them both equally, though for different qualities. Charlie is just that cute, little brother type that she loves to sit down and gossip with, while Ally is more serious for planning, because after her own brother and Ally, Malie is the best and strongest fighter on the team. Physically speaking, she's actually second strongest, only after her brother.

Allura Katie 'Ally' McClain, the Black Paladin

Ally, as she prefers, especially after she gets to meet her namesake. Lance named both his children after the Alteans they thought they'd never get to meet again. Well, once the kids grow up to become Paladins, Allura and Coran enter their lives once more.
Now, biologically speaking Ally is the daughter of Keith and Lance. And yet she connected more with the Black Lion than with the Red Lion, because Ally is a born leader. She's a strategist and if you give her a gun, she'll take out an entire Galra fleet on her own.
She's a very serious girl, was always a very serious child regardless of how goofy Lance tried being with her. She would always giggle at him and chide him for being silly. At which point Lance would turn to glare at Keith and accuse him of teaching her those things.
Her white bangs are dyed, in a way for her dad Shiro because she also wanted to share something with him, but also because of the original Allura and her white hair.
Her best friends are the Garrett siblings. Malie is the kind of person Ally can confide in and talk deeply with, while Keahi is the one she can just quietly sit with or spar with for hours without a break.

Coran Charles 'Charlie' McClain, the Blue Paladin

Charlie is a spoilt little brat, simply because he looks so much like Lance, so Keith and Shiro can not deny the boy anything. Something Charlie is very happy with, really.
Biologically speaking, he's the son of Shiro and Lance!
Genuinely no one was surprised when he became the Blue Paladin, because he's just too much like Lance. Though he's not as goofy and outspoken as Lance, he's more on a gentler scale.
Charlie's best friends are Sammy Holt and Malie Garrett. Lance, Pidge and Hunk would sometimes just look at the trio with fond, proud eyes, feeling reminded of their own days at the Garrison.
On their team, Charlie is the cook. He loves Malie to bits and pieces, but if she'd dare enter the kitchen with the intention to cook, he will kick her. Hard. Though he's not that much of a physical fighter. He is a brilliant swordsman, having learned that from Keith, but he'd prefer not to hurt people at all.
He also has a crush nearly the size of Texas on Keahi. Which is so not Charlie's fault though, because Keahi is way too hot to be true. Like, seriously! Not that anyone takes him serious, of course.

Keahi Garrett, the Red Paladin

Keahi is Malie's twin-brother. He loves his sister and if anyone dares to speak badly about her or hurt her, he will burn them alive. He got into a lot of fights in school already because some stupid people would pick on Malie for being chubby. He's fiercely protective of his sister and also of his team.
Physically speaking, he's the strongest of the team. He's a born fighter and he prefers to use his fists and feet instead of a weapon.
Though he's a jock, he is still very intelligent. Something he tries to play down, because he's perfectly fine being a jock, thank you very much. But his brilliant brain is what made him become close friends with Sammy, who is just the only person outside his family who's allowed to know of his intelligence.
I tried going heavier on my headcanon heritage for Hunk as a Hawaiian on Keahi - both him and Malie also have Hawaiian names (Malie = calm, Keahi = fire). He has a lion tattoo on his shoulder and the lion's mane turns into the sun, or well that's what I was aiming for. He is short-tempered and fiery, opposing his calm and gentle sister, which is why he ended up becoming the Red Paladin.
Though as the only one who got to pilot a lion not belonging to a member of his family previously, he has always felt kind of disconnected to the rest of the team. He doesn't hold it against Malie, he wants his sister to have everything including the Yellow Lion, but he doesn't really know if the Red Lion will really accept him fully.
Keith? Keith was a bit bummed that his daughter turned out to be the Black Paladin, right before the pride that HIS daughter became THE Black Paladin kicked in. Now he's just very proud of Keahi and does everything he can to reassure the boy.
Oh, and Keahi is totally in love with Charlie, but he's so busy with his badass image, he doesn't really know how to handle that fluff feeling.
