Description
My neighbors just had their first child, and today they're coming home. I've been so excited!We all guessed it would be a boy, and it did. Now the only thing I have to do, is to find a proper gift for them.
Anyway. In my baby mood I decided to do this drawing. Started out as just two lions, but turned into......... Maybe someone knows who.
And now for a movie, and maybe a portrait!

I've decided that the cub should be Ahadi. The possibility for it being Uru just isn't big enough in my opinion.
I've been raised with boys being the only ones to take the throne, with the only exception being if they only had girls (Like with our queen.)
You can't marry someone and be king, but only become it if your born a crown-prince. Makes sense?
Besides that I always though Ahadi was the heir, throughout my childhood.
So even though I like the thought of it being Uru, I just really couldn't - and can't - get used to it. Maybe because of what I grew up with.

Yeah I have to agree that Ahadi is the heir. Although maybe Simba would later change the rules and let Kiara become Queen since Kion is going to be her younger brother and not King.
I also felt that if Ahadi did become King when Uru is Mohatu's child, then it sort of discredits her and a little unfair in a sexist way in my opinion.
It sucks that they were so sexist in medieval times, but thankfully society has changed hopefully for the better in that regard.

Yeah, no one really agrees on who it is.
I've chosen Ahadi to be Mohatu's cub, because it just fits something I have going on in my head. Plus the royals choose the first born son, as an heir - or at least they used to, until a couple years ago

I've seen the comic, though I've never read it all, but I doubt it'll change my perspective. I've had that opinion since the late 90's.

I think the baby is Uru... I mean the dark lion could be Mohatu and his unknown mate. The gold pelt on, my guess, Uru could be where Mufasa got his golden pelt too... Just a guess here

I was right! success! hahaha I think she doesn't necessarily have to be brown... i mean Mufasa and Scar are the kids so it doesn't matter what the parents are if they have the essential colors... You did a great job, by the way! i love it! They are so cute!
