Download for full-view and best resolution.As the four orbs were presented, Berenike's thoughts went immediately to Mable. She had not expected to find love in such a place... had not expected to find a woman that stirred her heart in such a way that gave her courage that she thought she never had. She came into this tournament seeking the strength to protect her people, and now continued onward with the desire to protect her beloved. But could she truly protect her as she was now?
She did not seek Wisdom, and Courage without the power to back it would not guarantee her the ability to protect that which she held so dear. But Power... with Power, perhaps she could find courage of her own.
Berenike reached out, her hand closing around the crimson sphere, with the image of Mable in the front of her mind... an ever-constant reminder of what she had to protect.

I apologize for the lack of a proper background... I was trying to work on one, but with the constant storming all day and working between power blips, I want to submit this now as-is. When I designed this image, I designed it with ~cerasly 's coloring style in mind, especially since after part 1 , she asked for something a little less... crowded? 8D; But things didn't quite work out, so parts 2 and 3 were colored by me.

I'm sorry it took me so long to comment on this. I needed a break from deviantart after Round 4. Lol. This is SO beautiful! You did such an incredible job on this; the composition and flow of the piece is just so pleasing to the eye.

I dunno if dedication will carry me on, but if it does, I sure as hell won't complain. XD But I have amazing artists like you, Feri, and eErie to compete with, so it's no wonder the judging takes longer with each round! To much awesomeness from you three. I'm amazed you managed to come up with something so awesome within 2 hours!
I have to say, I had a lot of fun drawing Berenike... I want to draw more of her and Mable, lol. Though I think one of my biggest problems is I keep drawing Bere's hair too long. XD; Though what bugs me most about this pic is that there was an accidental miscolor. The area on her stomach got colored blue, not flesh tone. DERP. I fixed it, but I want to wait until after the judging is done to switch out the pics.

Thank you~ The roses were a bit of a pain XD; I'm glad they came out so well. Also, I apparently need to draw Berenike more. She's hella fun to draw. As is Mable.
