Amazing Marcus for the Saint-Sputnik !... my words actually run out. I breathe love for these characters.
Marcus is a charismatic man following the goddess Milani the Everbloom. She patronizes the fighters for freedom and her symbol - roses and vines.
Is he a warrior, or rather a duelist? Artful, fast and dangerous.
... I already said that he is charismatic?

You did such a good job with this guy! He turned out exactly how I pictured, everything from my description you turned into a gorgeous character!
I just introduced him to my party last week. The introduction went mmm...fairly well, I'd say.
Two of the party returned a shipment of items to the Thieves Guild and tried to demand meeting with the King of Thieves immediately. When Marcus politely refused, saying such a thing would take some time, the party pushed the limits of his patience and he had to let some of that terrifying aura of shadow show. The encounter ended with Marcus taking the goods and promising to be in touch, with the party thinking he may be part of the Lovecraftian Cult they've been on the trail of for so long.
I won't say here, but maybe they should learn folks can have other motivations and faction loyalties instead of assuming the absolute worst! xD
I hope I get to show off his powers to them soon, and NOT in a situation where they're fighting him. Fingers crossed!

I myself really love the master's characters, so I am not in a hurry to rush at all with weapons, and I hope that your players will do the right thing and be able to find an ally in it!
