I think this is the Fav of your Whitby shots. It the ripples in the water from the rain that make it for me. Plus it is not your standard Whitby shot of the harbour/church/abbey.
It a great place to photograph if you can get rid of the tourist (I which I would be classed as one I suppose)

Super shot, Tony. I didn't know that part is a river - I thought it was still ocean. We simply adored Whitby on our visits there. It really is a pretty place.

In this shot taken at high tide it's mostly north sea but at low tide it's the river Esk.
When I first viewed this shot I thought my sensor was covered in dust but quickly realised it was rain drops hitting the water. Phew!
