^^ kore ga watashi deshyo!!! Sugoku kerei deshyo demo atsu katta...*_*TEE HEE just a fun little picture of ME yes that is ME!!!!! wanna see what i usually look like? goto the main page ^^ This was from when i lived in Kyuushu and was doing Nihon Buyou, traditional dance, I specialized in the fan dance. ^^
i had 3 people dressing me, one do my hair, two do my makeup (one did the base and the other did the fine touchups like eyes and lips) I was warned not to move around TOO much becaue if the kimono breaks i will NEVER be able to afford it. As to how much i was worth at that moment....the makeup was 200-300$ yes i said DOLLARS and the SHOES JUST THE SHOES welll it's actually toed socks was 180$
the makeup was INSANE you can't tell but my arm was white up the the elbow and my neck and back was also white.

thank you ^_^ they told me how much the makeup was but i forgot. BUT i do remember my socks were 30$ apiece. it's the same as the sumo ones apparently.

you mean the obi? actually it's quite comfortable and holds you up. now you can't move all crazy and stuff BUT the restriction makes your dances prettier.

it's a costume yukata tho but she's made custom ones before.
a Yukata is what you are looking for tho. Kimonos are very expensive.

t's a great experience i recommend it to anyone. That kimono is for nihon buyou (japanese performance dance) so it's not the typical kimono that a family would have. it was for my performance ^_^ and no id din't get to wear the host mom's kimono.

Mah too bad I'm married so I won't ever get the opportunity, but if my parents could have afforded it, I would have done it in a heart beat. That really sounded like a lot of fun, though, and I can't even imagine what school was like with wearing uniforms and such.

hm...from what i remember. it was cold in the winter time. personally i loved my uniform. and the winter coats are really nice. i learned to wear skirts in the winter hahaha.

it's actually not so bad. might be because you get used to the cold and then the skirt really isn't that bad as long as your head and heck is warm legs are really just a after thought haha

haha that thing not going to rip. my worst fear was falling down and not being able to get up. what scared me was that on our second dance the crew came by everyone and just ripped the top half of our kimino off so that it can reveal the one inside but they never told us so it was like WHAT ARE YOU DOING!!!

ehe ^_^ well n owadays cartoons have a really bad rap cause it's for 3 year olds. like older cartoons actually have story and i enjoy them which is why i love anime.
the dancing was good. it was very nervous for me. because there is a section where i have to throw my fan in the air and catch it...sooo nervous.
