Very belated birthday present for . Started actually two days before their b-day, finished today.
Also, I suck at drawing bg's right now. For this simple bg painted in SAI I had to FORCE myself to draw more than a gradient. Couldn't think of anything fitting. But in the end it's not that bad.

They way you shade fur, the snarl, the paws, the eyes, the smoke and colors, the everything!! I could just keep going!

Oh, when I saw the ref-sheet for this character you had me with the chain. Of course I had to draw her (with a longer chain. o3o)
Tehe, I am glad you like it. I was a bit worried, because I struggled so much with the background and color sheme. Was fun to draw (not so much the bg, that was a pain >.<) But overall I am happy with it, especially the snarl XD

Choosing colors for background is what I find to be the biggest pain when drawing them

Damn, true dat! Since two days I try to practice backgrounds, "try" being the main word here. Not only do I suffer a huge art-block but the lack of good color choices makes it a tedious task and frustration.
But still, even for the things I didn't do really well in the image, I do like it for everything that I did well Like the perspective and the forshortening and depth.
