I feel like you and I have a bigger difference in opinion than I originally thought. You like to portray Flare more as sweet and thoughtful girl, while I like to see her as bold, confident, and a little brash. Take the differences in our Spring outfits as an example. You like to draw her, in pink and other light colors, along with an overall conservative style to reflect her sweet nature. I however, like to picture her in black, in a very revealing outfit to reflect her confidence (she knows she's beautiful).
in short, you see Flare as a combination of Fluttershy's kindness, with Twilight Sparkle's leadership and commen sence. I see her more as a combination of Rarity's social confidence combined with Rainbow Dash's determination and agression (she is a pony guard and a human cop in training after all).
