It's literally set in 70s in time of Soviet stuff. Also, it's only beginning, and of course we will not keep it only about it (+those are not even characters, just blanks that we need to push the intro to the story). There will be normal, complex characters, as they would be if they were any other nationality. Here it's more as a joke, jab at a stereotype that we plan to break again and again. Both Russians and Westerners will keep arresting people that cross their land, that's rather normal. Also vodka is as much our vice as it is yours so it's not like we try to point fingers.
Also no worries there will be Polish characters (or at least half-polish to my knowledge); and tbh characters from all over the world.
+I know Russian people irl, so no worries, I am aware they are... people... not just vodka drinking stereotypes (I've seen more drunken Scandinavians on polish vodka than Russians ever so yeah)

For now, it's probably hard to say whether it's played as a joke or if we will genuinely keep Russians as "hurr durr vodka" since we're only 9 pages in. I hope soon it will all be clearer!
Tbh it would be nice to get a feedback then to see if we did well hah!
Also I'm less sensitive to jokes that poke fun at stereotypes 'coz when people do same with polish stereotypes I laugh with them; not everyone is as chill tho I guess!

But yeah the vodka thing is a joke, even the guy is played off as a simpleton who doesn't question anything and just wants to be done with his work, and the arresting thing just fits into te setting and bigger context that will be provided soon, and is absolutely not Russian-exclusive hah. This second thing especially is for now totally not clear and totes can be taken as "bad Russians arrest innocent horses" but that's not the case. No side here is good or bad. Just big governments doing their thing, people doing their job and unlucky interdimensional immigrants being caught in the cross-fire heh
