I decided to go with machoke instead of lucario for the fighting gym, just for the swamp monster design idea I guess haha, but maybe the wolves can be considered a reference there?

Hate to burst your bubble but Lucario are not werewolves... In fact they have more in common with Anubis than a werewolf. By that I mean, they're designed after Jackals.
As for the sludge monster, I never would've guessed that was meant to be Machoke.
