Received from Akiko, she expressed her concern that Yume wasn't fit for the contest scene, and instead suggested that he might do well as a Ranger's pokemon. Cory agreed to try it out, finding he bonded with the pokemon fairly quick.

Yume is an energetic ball of fun just looking for pokemon to play with! Coming from a house were he was the one always teased, it's been a surprising turn around to suddenly become one of the most playful and rough players in the group. Very few pokemon can keep up with Yume's energy, and he can seem a bit overwhelming to the quieter pokemon. But Cory see potential in the young Eevee, if he can get him to calm down a focus.
