It's a cool wind that blows the Sakura off the trees in March. It's a cold beauty that gazes at you in a swirl of scented blossoms.I remembered this pic when I uploaded my Inu Yasha sketch. It's still one of my favourite fan art pieces, I think because I didn't use the original artist's style, but tried something of my own.

That's just gorgeous. I love the sepia color you used. The detail is lovely and it really turned out well using your own style. I love original Inuyasha art the most because otherwise everything tends to look the same. Great job!!

I find it funny how many people think to do fan art, or for it to be good, rather, it has to be in the exact style of the series it came from. I've found it tedious and annoying to try to copy something so well you can't tell, and it often takes away from the fun of expressing your enjoyment of a series. I try now to either bend my style to take influence from the series' style, or just use my own. It's more fun that way. And thanks for the comment!

This is outstanding. The texture on the fur makes you almost reach out and touch it, and the over all feel of it just superb, it does indeed look almost real, but yet remains surreal (as it should). The folds in the clothing are simply to die for, and the petals add a soft touch to it. Plus, there is the fact that I am a huge fan of Inu-Yasha, and Sess is one of my favourite characters.

It's not often I render something completely in pencil (especially graphite), and I always seem to learn something new. I was quite surprised how well the fur came out myself, and have yet to really duplicate the effect again with real media. Thank you so much for your thought out comment.

I was out browsing around and came across your gallery. I really enjoyed looking at all your different images, but this one in particular caught my eye. I guess, in part, because I am attracted by monochrome over color.
I love anime, but I really don't have the time to devote to learning all the characters, plots, etc. I say that to let you know that I like the work for your rendering, not because the character is known to me.
Beautiful work, really. It has a very nice, organic feel to it with the blossoms coming across the subject. I love the flow of the hair to help convey the feeling of wind. The lighting is very well done, also. Although this particular piece has a "sketchy" feel to it (which I adore, btw), there is enough detail to warrent sitting and studying it for a while.
Very nice. Therefore, I dub Cold Beauty a favorite. Thanks for sharing...

I like anime, but I'm not super into it. There are very few series I follow, or have seen in completion. (It's partly why I do so little fan art, even when I love a character's design or personality.)

I really like it when people put their own styles into a piece of work, because it's nifty to see other interpretations of characters. Nice texture on the shading there!
