Really nice work! But the image does not make a full embrace of what "Apocalypse Now" stands for. I would rather give this a subtitle like "the valkiries ride". I really like the quality of your image, as I said: great work, but with it's title I expect more of the senslessness and madness the whole film was about.
(Some more detail-critique: I think the gradient is a bit too harsh in the middle of the image. There is this arc-shaped cloud formation benieth the helicopters, illuminated by the sun. For me it crushes too hard into the smoke and the gray left side of the image. Benieth that arc the gradient is better. From distance it looks a bit like there is a borderline in the middle, but maybe I'm exeggerating here. The river-corner is my last point. First of all it's so sharp, it's doesn't harmonize well with the rest of the smokey, blurry image. Then it's too hard composed in, I think it imbalances the picture. There should be other artistic ways to bring it in.)
Over all I would give this picture maybe 4 out of 5 stars. There're lacks why it's not perfect, but it really is one of the better submussions to here. These are the pictures I enjoy looking at 'em!
