ain't he cute like this? I think he is. I really like the soft tones of this shot the only minor point is that the large amount of light from the back kinda ate out a bit to much of his hair. Still this shot makes me wanna hug him cuddle him and stuff like that, I wunder about what kind of big mouse he's dreaming.

He is a sweeheart isn't he, it even makes me want to cuddle him! But them I do love cats.
As you said, the backlighting isn't the best for this, you could have prevented it slightly, and added a bigger field of focus in the process, by upping yout F-stop value, 2.8 is very low, and usually too low for a well-lit and close up photo like this.

As usual the cat is sleeping in a impossible position and probably in the most stupid place of the house... Poor humans we are, we must work all our live to let the cat sleep all night and day... We are all slaves of cats !
