Description "You have come to take - to take from me! My secrets! MINE!"

Koschei, more commonly known as 'The Deathless One' or 'Koschei the Deathless', is the oldest Vampire in existence. He was believed to be the first, the father of the Stryzga and the only truly immortal Vampire to ever live. Koschei lived to see the Ancient Ones arise from the earth, and he lived to see them fall; the only being to do both. Koschei and his children were respected by the Ancient Ones and feared by the other Vampires and Werewolves beneath them, thus, when the others used magic to seal away the Ancient Ones, the Strzyga and their father were hunted by the masses and eventually cornered and confined within a great underground city. The fall of his masters caused a realization in Koschei, that even that which is immortal can "die". So he set out on a mad quest to become unkillable. Rummaging through the stolen magical tomes of both Vampires and Ancient Ones, Koschei eventually found an answer; one that first required him to die. Koschei eventually relented, and gave into the ritual's requirements and was reborn.

Now imbued with a similar invulnerability as the Ancient Ones before him, Koschei once again took his children and struck back against the other races. After countless battles and countless "deaths", Koschei finally relented and returned with his brood to their new home. bUt things were slowly getting worse. Each "death" took a little from Koschei's already deranged psyche, and the continued ravages of time didn't help. Eventually, Koschei was nothing more than a mad, raving psychopath who even the other Strzyga feared. They fled the underground city, looking for a new home, leaving Koschei alone. For thousands of years Koschei toiled beneath the earth, protecting the magical tomes that gave him his powers, as they were the only thing he had left to cling on to.

This brought him into contention with Lazarus and those looking to fight back against the recently returned Ancient Ones. Once Lazarus and those with him learned that the tomes were not destroyed, but kept by Koschei, they had no choice but to venture forth into the deranged beast's lair...

Like his children, Koschei is immensely strong and agile, has a barbed tongue capable of draining blood and is capable of splitting his head in two. Unlike his children, Koschei is capable of flight and can use various types of magic. At least when his fractured mind remembers he can.

Check under the Ancient Ones folder in my gallery, all the main ones are there. They were, in essence, an ancient race that became the inspiration for demons.
