Biography: As with Swerve’s origins, Fern’s story is rather vague. Originally a regular houseplant, when Swerve ascended he took along his potted fern with him. Presumably, when the plant wilted, it became a Tsukumogami and turned into Fern. As a person, Fern is a loud, mischievous fun lover that enjoys pulling pranks and loves attention. She’s very quick to assume people would make good friends, and goes out of her way to meet people, especially those who visit Swerve. As Swerve’s familiar, she can theoretically be called to help him when necessary, but she usually only gets called to help out when she’s already there.

Character Overview:
Like Swerve before her, Fern is not particularly strong physically. The fact that her defenses are somehow better than Swerve’s stand out, but what she lacks in speed, she makes up for with dirty tricks. She can use several spores that can cause temporary paralysis, sleep, poison, and infatuation, and she can extend vines to grab and whip enemies. She can also use leaf projectiles with ease and, despite her average speed, is very mobile.
