Aaaah yes, drawing OTPs for other people´s birthday is even more fun if it´s your own OTP as well!

I have to admit that I had a bit of trouble deciding what to draw this year, and then my mother and I discussed having siblings - I don´t have any, but she has an older sister and a brother. She was closer to her brother for some reason while she was a teen, and they had a habit of crawling into one another´s bed, just to read together or tell each other stories. Seeing what those two up there went through, I could imagine Franziska enjoying Miles´ presence, maybe after a nightmare, or an especially rough day - reluctantly at first, but giving her the comfort and safety she needs.

As for shipping them - let me repeat what I already said on a different deviation, especially loud for those in the back:

Incest, n : sexual intercourse between persons so closely related that they are forbidden by law to marry; also : the statutory crime of such a relationship (Merriam-Webste r)

Now I´ve researched high and low, but as far as I know, Miles has been taken in by Manfred von Karma, but never legally adopted (this would have included a name change, and I think even Miles himself never said he was adopted, but "taken in").
Also, consider that Franziska was two years old when they first met; the only time they truly lived together was when they were kids, and Franziska was just about to hit puberty when he left. They were both of age when they met again. So they´re neither related by blood, nor by law. Just putting that out there for those who like to point fingers before doing their research.

I can totally see it work, and as this was drawn for someone who agrees with me, we´re good.

Now as for not liking the pairing - that´s totally fine by me. Ship and let ship. Whatever floats your boat. Respect other people´s shipping preferences if you want yours to be respected as well, and we´ll be fine.
