I'm so sorry for the spotty lighting quality, guys... I do what I can without a studio.

I wanted to make a story based on Nils Holgersson a good while back, a book written in 1906 about a disrespectful Swedish farmboy who gets shrunk by a gnome after having harassed him. The tale was essentially layers of several adventures abroad Sweden alongside Nils (changed to Neil) and a cast of geese, where a value would be learned before pressing on. Instead of traveling with geese, I chose to replace them with swans, to add a dimension of 'inferiority' that would eventually become a plot point later in the story. These are just mixmatched sequences I threw together to practice design (you can tell one of the sequences is in pen). This page in particular surrounds the events prior to having been shrunk by the gnome and discovered by the angry farm animals he once tormented.
