Description Story

Year 2098,... just 6 years ago, humans shunned rocket science and started searching for alternative means of 'trans/tele-portation' and we already have been travelling to the ...stars!
An earth like planet was discovered in starsystem 192axm-34s in the galaxy m-249's 6th arm.( Full space-coordinates yet to be released by the explorers ). It looks like a seemingly habitable place. Oxygen concentrations similar to a pre-industrial era earth atmosphere... Microbiolgical assessment reports awaited before colonisation.

Making
Vue5, PS7 and lot of rendering time and lots of patience from my side (in not cancelling this mega render 4500x3375 render while in its lengthy process!)
Please be kind , do full view . thanks!

I can already imagine standing there, breathing in the crisp clean air and gazing up at the faint stars seen through the clear, thin alien air. I wonder what sorts of extraterrestrial animal life one would encounter there? The plants superficially resemble some primitive Earth-like species, so one could question what forms and shapes animals have taken there.
Great peice!

Nice, the plants and topography are nifty (who says nifty anymore?) ^_^
I like the lighting and how it sorta fades off in the background, just something sort of mysterious about it

Nice one man, very alien looking. The post texturing could have been cut in a little more in some areas, but overall a nice job.

One of your best yet swaroop! Excellent work - the crimson light, the alienesque scenery, and the overlay of texture really elevates this.

Wow, that shoud've been a long hard night for your PC I tried once to render a quite spectral 3D scene with some water 1600x1200...it took me about 2-3 hours...and than I found some mistakes in the composition and scrapped it for further development if I ever come back to it...
Anyway I think this one was worthy of the time and the patience you've spent on it Good job

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Swaroop In reply to Gamechaser [2007-05-13 15:16:39 +0000 UTC]

u have to render small 1024x768 low quality renders before going for the final huuuge render always

btw this render took 56hours... goodness vue 5 has interrupt-resume render capability...
i have lost a lot of tg0.9 renders because it doesnt have the capability.. dont know if TG2 has it .. i hope it does...

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Gamechaser In reply to Swaroop [2007-05-13 16:10:08 +0000 UTC]

56 hours!!! I guess you went on holiday and saw the result when you got back
I always leave the latest thing I've done on my desktop for a couple of days to gaze at after I consider it finished, since there are often flaws that come out when you stop just enjoying what u've done and start looking critically That's when I figured out it was not complete
