Motorcycle tires are much easier than car tires since they don't have metal mesh inside and are much thinner.  I have a paper template that I trace around then I put the tire in a large vise and cut it with a jigsaw.  I use a blade with large teeth used for cutting wood.  I had been using a grinder with a circular cutting wheel, which made very nice clean cuts and would cut through the metal in car tires but produced too much smoke and debris so I don't really recommend that method...

I tried the grinder too, but yeah that didn't work out I use a normal metalsaw for it, but I keep running into the problem that the entire thing moves together with my saw, which is really annoying.
And you're right about motorcycle tires being easier, I already noticed that Only one problem, I already have four cartires lying around, ready to be used... And I'm not the only one living in this house
