That confused look on his little face in that last panel is adorable. and I love your use of perspective

hah thanks- I find perspective tricky so it's nice to know that you think it worked here-

I love how you draw animals, the wolf especially

dogs in general seem to be my fad of the moment. I'm glad someone isn't being driven around the bend by it. That is good news for me

Wahaha, I thought Christopher was some bad-ass magician, but here he seems quite normal! (W-well, I mean his reaction seems normal, I guess I can't speak for his situation! )

Moreover, what happened to the hunter?! Did he get eaten by the rabbits, or did he just run away?

Heh, "the secret sound", huh... that sounds so cool!

I keep thinking the mark on his head is a bandaid.

It's so cool to see this series continued! How fun! A work in progress! <3 <3 <3

I feel that Christopher is more of a victim of circumstances. He's more prim and proper rather than badass... (i don't think that i do badass very well).

The hunter will hopefully be explained as i go on- and this will hopefully remain in progress. I'm doing my best

Heh! Cool! A prim and proper magician, huh? I think that might give him more character than just being a simple badass. (I don't do that type of character very well either, lol, so I think I understand.)

I'm glad to hear that!
You're an inspiration!

I was actually just riding the bus home the other day, and I caught myself thinking about how much I'll enjoy continuing to read this story, if it is continued. >w<

FLATTERY! You made me get all wibbly
I'm doing my best to get it done, but I'm sort of folding up beneath the pile of other things i have to do at the moment.
I'm not sure why i always do this to myself...

Rin-Uzuki In reply to swallowingsmiles [2011-05-30 07:12:15 +0000 UTC]

Heheh! Wibbly is good, no? XD
Well, I understand having to fold up... again, it's the way things always come--in waves and droves, right? We can only do what we can do. But I hope you might continue Christopher in and between other work and jobs! ♥ There's something about this that I really, really like, and I'm really looking forward to seeing where things go!

I wouldn't even begin to imagine how I would draw a boy coming out of a wolf's stomach xD I really like the way everything is so solid, but still looks interesting.

It's probably a weird thing to say, but I'm obsessed about the white trees against the shadowy background. The wolf has the most beautiful fur too!

swallowingsmiles In reply to alirodina [2011-05-24 14:16:50 +0000 UTC]

I know what you mean. I have this constant urge to draw them. The contrast of them is a good background without it being too busy i think- I'm pretty terrible with backgrounds in general though so what do i know?

alirodina In reply to swallowingsmiles [2011-05-24 15:20:04 +0000 UTC]

My favourite sort of background to draw is the nonexistent one, so this is really amazing to me. XD

sooooo lovelyyyyyy! great textures and storytelling. i wish the font was written like the "christopher", im a sucker for handwritten text !

swallowingsmiles In reply to canarysvscrows [2011-05-24 04:34:09 +0000 UTC]

Yeah I wouls have continued handwriting it, but then i was afraid that people wouldn't be able to read it. Also, the pressure is off if i change my mind about what i want someone to say.
I'm glad it's not too jerky. I want this one to work

i know what you mean! handlettering is total commitment and white-out never really covers it . again, gorgeous story

Rin-Uzuki In reply to canarysvscrows [2011-05-25 07:45:41 +0000 UTC]

I think your handwriting is quite nice, for the record. It would certainly lend the story a different feel. I think typed font has its own charm, though, too, and it is doubtless more convenient.
