Originally it was supposed to be a flaming cake... XD But somehow I thought that skull (God it was hard to get one right, I used like million refs for it, in the end I practically traced one XD) looked more cool and at the time I started drawing the picture I didn't know anyone whose birthday was close XD.

I think I meant those spirits to portray some individual emotions like the girl was supposed to be sad seeing her flames at the end of her "tail" fading out or something, but in the end I just drew them quite randomly, though some parts may still be similar to what I had in my head
