commission for NecroticXVII ΒI know it was meant to be a sketch page but I think this looks so much better! :')
I hope you don't mind that I did this instead
I really enjoyed working on this, they are such amazing characters
the most difficult part, was deciding which way round to have this xD settled for a portrait because I think it's most balanced that way

I'm not nearly good enough to be critiquing your work but I'm going to try give my opinion regardless. Things I love about this piece/your art style in general is the ultra smooth clean lines, the way you create depth to the characters by using different line art thickness is amazing. Your anatomy, whilst it may not be perfectly anatomically correct (doesn't really apply in fantasy creatures much) it certainly doesn't even have to be because there's something mesmerizing about it finished. This piece has great composition! 10/10, I would comm you to design me a wolf tattoo in future.

I know I bend anatomy a little to my own style, but for the most part I think it looks somewhat correct :') and these two are alien hybrids so xD

Yeah I am guilty for that too, and your anatomy it's WAY better than a lot of the people I watch. The way you draw anatomy isn't boring either, if that makes sense. What matters it that you can bend the anatomy, and it can have a much better impact a lot of the time. And with an art style like yours, you could make a boneless jellyfish look swag.Β

Β I know that I usually draw characters quite slender and longer legged than normal, but I try t make it look realistic, like it's anatomically correct and would work in real life?
I've always loved creature design and creating made up animals but so that they are still believable and I think getting anatomy to look correct is hard but really pays of when you learn to do that ;u;

Yeah I love that about them. There are a lot of longer legged animals, like I can think of wolfhounds!

first session I had I couldn't sleep cause I was excited and I don't eat much in the morning anyway so I didn't eat enough and I almost passed out hahaha

I have so many ideas, but for the first, it's a symbol that means quite a lot to me. ; v ; I just keep drawing it on my body because I'm not sure where abouts to get it on my arm. Because it's just quite a plain type symbol, I don't want it to look a bit barren and out of place you know?Β
Wow yeah, I suppose the only thing close was when I went to get my snakebites done and I hadn't eaten all day or slept the night before... Didn't hurt too much, but I felt a little lightheaded afterwards... but the woman gave me a fruit shoot, it's fineeee.

yeah haha, I learnt from it and made sure to eat before going in (I'd buy a ring donut at greggs from across the road haha)

Hmm, I don't know about the ankle, it's a good spot I agree for stuff like that, but there's a reason why it has to be on my arm someplace. The only place it looks decent so far is on the outside of my wrist.Β

Damn girl you are fabulous. There's so much detail in the face and all those lines. Those lines are TO DIE for! You managed to make the whole piece beautifully symmetrical, which is always difficult when you're drawing more than one main subject! Literally only critique I can find is where the top guys right arm would be, seems to be missing. But it's not even noticeable unless you're looking for it xD I love how snarly and mean lookin you made their faces and the teeth placements are spot on perfect~ Ahh I cant stop looking at it!Β

I feel like my traditional is better/more detailed than digital and I'm so happy that I managed to get this piece to a level that I am happy with
And oh yeah..the missing leg xD WELL, I was going to draw it on but none of the positions I did looked right so I decided it's one of those hidden by the body legs

Fantastic details and anatomy, and the poses are amazing, the whole piece has a really elegant and stylish flow to it.
I love the variation in line thickness which sets off the details beautifully, and the textures are wonderfully done!

I used 0.05 for the thinnest lines and then a 0.3 or 0.5 for the thicker ones c:
