More Clyde:I actually drew the original pencil work for this 2 years ago ;_; And left the poor guy alone.
This is my original character Clyde, just standing around in the room he usually hangs out in. Dreary, huh?
I didn't use any textures for this, just Photoshop's default brushes
Just wanted to experiment and see if I could do something insanely detailed.

umm thank you for the critique ^^ but I just have a character named Clyde too. It's not based off a different character. I don't know who Candy is XD haha. If it was based off a different character the picture would be in the fanart category

There's this concept of Candy and Clyde (Good sister vs. Bad Brother).

There's not much more iconic than a brooding man in a jacket sitting in a filthy alley, or some place similarly crusty looking. And this broken down lab looking place certainly fits the bill, weighing in at about six pounds of crusty crammed into a single five pound bag.
Not an original concept, but then again we're all inspired by something we've seen in our lives. And originality is certainly not the only criteria for success, fame or enjoyment. Look at Halo, for example. Not original at all, but still lo- No, Halo sucks, bad analogy. Look at Fallout 3, it's not entirely original, and it may be the best game ever made! Likewise, this is one of the best brooding grunge background dudes I've seen.
Like a lot of your recent stuff, the character has a delightfully asymmetric design. Most people seem obsessed with the notion their characters will be in video games one day, and that it's easier to sprite symmetrical characters. It seems you are not afflicted with this disease and put in a few little touches to bust up the symmetry and enhance hsi dark brooding attire and look.
The background is an extremely well executed mess. So much brick brack simply lying hither and yon. It's an appealing pile of junk but he stands out amongst it. You must have spent quite a bit of effort making it look all crusty like. I have some really neat brushed which might help you make that a little bit easier. Not your usual terrible grunge brushes. Hit me up for those on AIM sometime.
