Very amusing and strikes a good point. Women do get paraded around like show dogs, and we do little to stop it. Sure we can express our disgust/outrage but at the end of the day we still go out buying fancy shoes, spending hours on our make up, stressing over our bodies and fussing with our hair. The funny thing is, men rarely notice the effort we put into it. So why do we do it at all but to compete with other women?
*sigh*

Great work, surreal and, as stated, amusing.
Good luck

Yes, I couldn't agree with you more and I really wonder what the prize actually is for being best in show.

Well done I love how you incorporated dog's features in woman's figure... or opposite The colors work together excellent (green-red, yeah, we love it ) and the concept itself, along with perfect title are just stunning. I hope you win because if not then I'll be sure that there is something very very wrong with
Again, perfect painting

Thank you! You are way to nice to me Yes, I think that it's terrible the way women are portraided in commercials and popular tv shows, it makes me so mad at times!

Exactly. And what's more bizzare most women seem to like it... I mean they don't seem to care that men see females as product... I hate it too
I am not too nice I just support artist with huge talent And being on dA for a yeer (yay! tomorrow is my dA birthday! ) and on other websites I've seen so many talented people simply underpreciated just because they don't fave/comment like crazy but just do what they like. Ok, commenting is not bad but in general people seem to more appreciate well known artists, not giving a chance to others to be seen. It's like illustrating business in my country - be the one who just starts and has amazing talent and all these old farts will almost kill you, accusing you of paintovers, tracing, photomanipulating and stuff like that. Just because they feel so insecure they will get you down to feel better.
i had such situations, not that I feel so amazing and talented and not that I have millions commissions or such, I just do what I do trying to make money with it as well when I have a chance but there will always be jelaous, frustrated people who will accuse of anything just to make my position lower. It's ridiculous. Once I almost ended up in court but luckily the guy appologised in public and went back to his job. Sorry for off-topic but it bothers me, really. I bet you know Enayla, no one says she has no talent or so but most of people, even well known artists themselves, accused her of cheating and claiming her images are hand-painted when they were, in they're opinion, paint-overs or traced images or they consisted from photo parts with some painting and filters. Seriously, i don't care how she makes her images as long as I can admire them. And more - i don't think producers of Golden Compass would hire her if they had a slight believe that she cheated.
I really adore your art

Yes, of course I've read the accusations about Enayla and I think it really hurt her, I admire her talent and for me she is one of the best. I don't care if she did photomanips or not, it's a damn good job anyhow.
I especially think it's sad when women try to put eachother down instead of giving support, finally with new digital methods in a modern world women has the chance to be at the top in the art scene, please, let us never return to the old age when you could only be a famous painter if you were a man! Sorry for the late reply, my 2 year old needs all the attention.

No worries, my house zoo (3 cats, 1 huge dog and husband ) needs my attention all the time btw it's awesome that you adopted child from Ethiopia (I read your journals )
As for Enayla it's even more disgusting because she suffers from serious disease and people are still cruel to her just because she has a talent. Personally I really don't care how she's doing her works as I said but in present "digital era" seems we all have to give proofs for everything we do. It's just sick since no one really can say WHY people demand these proofs. Apparently they forgot about traditional painters from the past using mirrors, painting over their older works to save the time and using many many different techniques just to make their work easier. It's all about this madness about being honest in art in my opinion but try to ask those who accuse Enayla and others how THEY work and then there is silence. It's all about insecurity.
Arrgh, sorry, talking too much Yes, you're right - never come back to these times I'm in deep love with Pre-Raphaelites' works and yeah, they were men *sigh* but damn good

We waited for about 4 years, so now when she is finally here after all the problems it's almost unreal. So, I paint when she takes a nap and then in the night when everyone is sleeping..

I wonder how many women in the old days that never got the chance to show off their work?
