You know, it just came to me, I wonder if Fem!Kirk would sleep with as many aliens as male!Kirk. I hope not, not that I was exactly happy with original Kirk sleeping around in the first place. That is why, along with a few other things, he was not the best captain. For me, Captain Janeway is the best, with Picard in second place ^_^.
Finally, Since I am also a major Spock fan, Fem!Spock is my favourite "Star Trek" gender bender.

well, I don't really mind either way. the amount of people one sleeps with is not connected to gender in my opinion, and it's down to a personal choice. also, the number of people you've had sexual relationships with shouldn't be up for debate with others, if others think it's positive or negative.
but a debate of Kirk as a character in a show, I personally think it's got a little bit to do with the time it was written, the person who wrote it, and what audience was targeted. it's not the only show where the future is portrayed as being a bit more sexually relaxed, or the "hero" has a way with women/men/aliens/etc. if this makes him a worse or better captain than the others...well, I've never really had any interest in comparing them. and if one is doing so for their rank as Captain and their achievements, or for their personal life...well. one can write whole essays about it and I'm sure people have. I just like them all for different reasons
