Real friendship is very rare, the reason why it is so precious. I am gifted to have had such a friend.

My best friend ever - in real life - has passed away from an abhorrent cancer in less than four weeks. I was in shock when I learned about her cancer. I am once again in shock because of her death.

We met at 11 years old at a boarding school and we became friends the first day of our arrival. And this friendship has last until now. We went through the adolescence together and discovered the world, the real life. We each got married almost at the same time and fortunately, her husband has also became a friend to me. They were my second family.
We have laughed a lot through this time, we have taken a whole wek of vacation each year, escaping from our husbands and children, etc. We never have had an argument or whatever, maybe because we met so young and learned to respect and appreciate each other even though we were quite different.
My friend was so very thoughtful and heartfelt. She was the most important person in my life, after my son. We were like twins. More important than each of my six siblings. She did not deserve such a terrible end.
I am numb for now. I just lost a big part of my life. Death is dreadful!
