damn!! i hate that normal ending of Fatal Frame II!! the ultimate ending is way much better thou..i feel like my fear, my paranoia, my sweat, of me playing this game doesn't get pay after i see the normal ending!
thanks god i've seen the ultimate ending.. it's really nice Happy Ending, not only for Mio and MAyu, but also for the ghosts, village, and of course, Sae and Yae (Itsuki too)

I felt so incredibly worried about Mayu during the whole game, I even stayed right outside when she was locked in for like forever, but I was forced to go away eventually to advance plot >.<
I agree, normal ending was so sad I cried a lot
The end where Mio goes blind was very sweet though, since they are now both entirely dependant on eachother forever.
Anyway, they are the most adorable GxG couple ever! Best friends forever, or lovers, I don't care which, I just want them to always be together!

I totally love the ultimate ending. It has all the feel in it and also the perfect soundtrack.
The normal ending? Very emotional but a sad one. I cried when I got that ending. So heart-breaking.

There isn't any incest in Fatal Frame 2. There is incest in Fatal Frame 4 however which might be why Nintendo won't release it outside of Japan.

I feel like the ultimate ending was too...Deus ex Machina, I guess. Yeah, I like that it's happy, but Fatal Frame has always had the Bitter endings. I guess I just like them better. But I do love Sae and Yae's dialogue in that ending.
Plus, it makes Fatal Frame 3's story that much deeper when it's all 3 of them dealing with the curse.

But forgot one final: In hard and nightmare mode, Mio saves Mayu, but Mio is blind by looking at the abyss.And Sae falls into the abyss and village cotinue lost, is not the best ending ...
