I loves Spike's ears.

Nice one. I'm currently working my way through a simply heart-breaking fanfic about these two, so ... well, this is catching me pretty hard.

Yeah I bet, there is so much potential for a emotion story considering their relationship

Oh my... I think I just found my favorite Human Twilight and Spike designs!! XD They look just adorable here, like a real older sister/little brother relationship. And, heh, call me crazy but Spike reminds me of Beast Boy from the Teen Titan TV series. Was that intentional?

Heh, I noticed~ Apart from Raven, he's my favorite Titan.

... now I'm thinking of the Teen Titans as Titans from Attack on Titan...

Yeah, its an enjoyable series but it forces you to swallow down a lot of violence. Its quite overwhelming for just about everyone. Even now, the series finds new ways to surprise me how gory it can get... *Shudders*

Yeah see I never felt invested in the characters, so the extreme violence just felt cheap and like the anime was attempting to get a reaction out of me.Β

There was something about the art style as well...:/

but what really made me drop it was the fact by episode 5, the story had barely progressed and the characters had hardly flourished, we just kept get more questions, and no answers. Which is terrible, 5 episodes is roughly an hours worth of content...

from what I've heard the anime STILL hasn't answered any questions. its a shame really, it was just a neat concept...as I'm sure you can tell I have not brought into the hype of attack on titan at all xD

The anime's pacing is slow, but the manga is even worse because it throws everything out of chronological order and draws attention to several characters whoΒ are onlyΒ Titan Fodder. It asks you to care about characters who die almost immediately, which hurts because some characters are so physically similiar to each other that I mistake Titan Fodder for the main characters. If there's anything worse than that, its the manga's art style: its so sketchy and emphasizes on action so much that after you read two or three chapters, you put the book down on account of a headache.

And OH MY GOD, Attack on Titan asks so many questions but even when it answers one question, more questions arise out of the answer! The only explanation that I can think to explain why they're so stingy about revealing the mystery behind the Titans, apart from being mysterious for mysterious sake, is to frustrate the audience as much as the main characters themselves. If that's the case, it just frustrates me all the more.

I enjoy watching the series, don't get me wrong, but the way the series' plot is written makes you either love it or hate it. And even those who love it have an inner burning flame of hatred for the problems the series has. I prefer colorful talking horses over Titans anyday.

haha well at least colourful talking horse don't make me utterly range!

I agree with everything you said, watching this anime was a totally frustrating experience for me, I simply couldn't infest any more of my time to it.

You have highlighted all of my issues with it...I can't understand for the life of me why this anime is as popular as it is, fullmetal alchemist brotherhood doesn't even have a fanbase as big...

Well Fullmetal Alchemist ran to its conclusion a few years ago, so most of the fanbase has probably moved on. That's not to say they don't enjoy the manga or animes anymore, but they might not be making fanart as much anymore or cosplaying as Edward or the Homunculi as they once did. Whereas Attack on Titan is a relatively new series that hasn't fully explored the chief mystery of the Titans by the 46th chapter, whereas Fullmetal Alchemist revealed the mystery of the Philosopher's Stone by Chapter 10 and the mystery of the Homunculi by Chapter 30, so people are still hooked by the mystery even as it infuriates them how many setbacks the main characters go through.

The dark themes and anti-social behavior that the series promotes isn't all that pleasent either...

ooo yeah they were excellent, I honestly loved everyone, I think for such a big cast there were only a few weak links. Though I have a particular fondness for Roy Mustang
