Recently, my parents got me a gift for Christmas, and my birthday apparently. It was something I didn't have access to since College, and that would be… a 3D Printer! That's right, custom pieces and 3D-Printing is back for me! And I wasted no time in getting some of my many pieces printed out with both the filament that came with the printer and what I ordered. Starting off is something I did for my Build Your Own Lightsabers, specifically for my Anakin Skywalker lightsaber. I made this in 2020. Here is a printed and painted activator matrix piece of the Skywalker Lightsaber as seen in Rise of Skywalker. I remember spending an hour designing this back then, and now that I have my own printer, I was able to create this. I repainted the entire piece in metallic silver to match the rest of the lightsaber, added black in for the middle strap (as that was what it is as defined in the Rise of Skywalker visual dictionary), and gold for the activator piece. I do so love how this turned out, since it is the biggest piece I have printed with the new printer. Plus, you will see it on the full lightsaber, coming up next. What do you think? Please enjoy!
