I'm sure I'm not the only person who made this comparison. Cute animals that can undertake a temporary transformation to become more powerful but still change back? Ha! Nice try!Although joking aside, I'm curious to see how the Mega Evolutions play out in battle. Many of the designs look pretty dang cool !
...And on a side note, a Digimon vs. Poke'mon game. I can still dream!

I think that it is safe to say pokemon is cooping digimon now, with the megas fusions and now z moves the are somewhat like burst mode.

Greymon: Congratulations, you've got wings on your arms now and a third horn on your head. And you also have a black/blue version as well.
Charizrd: Like you-

MetalGreymon: Purple wings, a mechanical arm, a chest that shoots out rockets....and red hair. I also defeated a reality warping monkey in control of a continent-wide information network.
Charizard: W-well I can-
MetalGreymon: I also become-(becomes WarGreymon)
WarGreymon: A draconic themed warrior that is able to generate a terra-force blast of energy that defeated an incarnation of the apocalypse beast, a cybernetic sea dragon and a dinosaur/dragon machine sociopath, both of which conquered my home realm and warped it alongside a puppet and a killer clown, into their own design. And those four were stronger than that apocalypse beast that was stronger than that reality warping monkey.
Charizard: I-I
(WarGreymon merges with MetalGarurumon to become Omnimon)
Omnimon: I become a white knight capable of slashing and gunning down a million cyber demons stronger than the four monsters that altered my world and I am the leader of 12 other similar as strong monsters.
Charizard:....Darn algorithm of power scaling.

Actually Alphamon is the leader of the Royal Knights, Omegamon/Omnimon is his second in command so Omegamon/Omnimon really only leads 11 other digimon lol.

This technically makes Omegamon/Omnimon a steward in charge since Alphamon's usually a hermit.

Tbh though.... Digimon kept going downhill as time went because the writers kept running out of idea's and kept 'evolving' the digimon's.... I seriously hope PokΓ©mon doesn't go down that route! That would break me soul!

The writers did not run out of ideas though? They just switched up the characters and story a bit, therefore some evolutions are different. But the majority of them are the same..

Please respect the opinion of others, Just because PokΓ©mon is more famous, it is not necessary to say that Digimon sucks !! And I have plenty of evidence that Digimon is even better and that they are stronger than the PokΓ©mon, just accepted, A Greymon cuts off the head of a Charizard

Ignorance is bliss. Charizard is a good design from a game developer perspective but mega evolution as a whole is bonkers and is quite a ret-con failure. Charizard: good. Mega Charizard: crap.
