This painting is so wonderful and intriguing in terms of technique!
First of all, I love the fact that it's such a clear photo/scan and that you can actually see the texture of the watercolor paper. It feels as if you're holding the painting in your hand, before your eyes.
Secondly, brilliant use of colors! The color palette is limited, yet the fact that you chose two complementary colors makes it homogeneous, and the viewer doesn't feel the need for any additional ones.
Also, very clever use of washes and letting the colors take their natural flow, it allowed them to create some very neat patterns and textures, that add to the awesome look of the hair.
